  • The 2’s Program (18m by Sept. 1st)

A gentle introduction to the school environment. We focus on social-emotional transitions, sensory exploration, and the joy of making first friends in a nurturing, play-filled space.

  • 2's/3's combo

A multi-age Friday program from 9am to 12pm. This is a cohort style class; once children enroll, they are a part of the class for the school year

  • The 3’s Program (3 by Dec. 1st)

Fostering independence and wonder. Our 3's engage in collaborative play, creative expression, and hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and build confidence.

  • The 4/5's (TK) Program

Preparing for the "Big School" leap. We integrate kindergarten readiness—self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and STEM—into our play-based curriculum to ensure children gain the relationships and experiences they need to confidently transition into a larger school community.

  • Friday Frogs

    Multi-Age Program (3-5)

A multi-age Friday program from 9am to 12pm. This is a cohort style class; once children enroll, they are a part of the class for the school year

  • Extended Day Programs

A multi-age combined class for children to enjoy lunch with peers and teachers and play.  Children have the option to stay until 1pm or 2:30pm.

Play is the Work of Childhood

At UCNS, we believe that children learn best when they are invited to connect, explore, create, and imagine. Our preschoolers develop a love of learning, confidence in their ability to positively contribute to their classroom community, and enthusiasm to share their unique gifts, not only in preschool but throughout their lives.

In our classrooms, "play" looks like building a bridge (engineering), sharing a story (literacy), noticing and replicating patters in nature (cognitive/creative) and offering to help a friend (social-emotional). We provide the warm, enriching environment; they provide the wonder.

  • "UCNS made the transition to school so gentle. Our daughter went from clinging to my leg to running into the classroom with a smile."

    The Miller Family

  • "I love that my son comes home talking about 'engineering' his block towers. The play-based approach is preparing him for more than just kindergarten."

    Sarah T.

  • "Beyond the classroom, we found a community of parents who have become our closest friends. It’s more than a school; it’s a village."
